Field Sales Representative ref: FSRB1031
Location: Kimberley – Northern Cape
Purpose: To promote KWV brands and products in a specific geographical area by visiting outlets (e.g. Taverns, bottle Stores etc.) as per a contracted call cycle in order to increase brand awareness and visibility of the KWV brands and increase sales and market share.
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric/Grade 12, a relevant tertiary qualification will be advantageous
- At least 2 years relevant FMCG experience in the liquor industry will be advantageous.
- Computer literate.
- Must have a valid driver’s license without endorsements, with at least 6 months driving experience (post-date of license issue) A Company vehicle will be provided
- Availability for frequent travel and possible overnight stay
- Must be fully bilingual in English as well as the geographical areas preferred language e.g. (Xhosa, Zulu, Tswana, etc.)
- Weekend and Flexible working times as per Business Operational Requirements – 40 hour work week
Skills Required:
- Strong sales skills and experience
- Knowledge and understanding of the area’s ethnic culture
- Strong communication skills and the ability to read, write and speak English
- Strong negotiating, relationship building and networking skills
- Must have a passion for interacting with consumers in the Main market segment
- Ability to operate independently
- Must be self-motivated, innovative and self-driven
- Must be a South African citizen
Job Summary:
- Develop and manage sound customer relationships
- Educate consumers regarding KWV brands
- Drive distribution i.e. availability
- Implement promotions according to Main Market Customer Marketing Cycle Plan
- Handle customer and consumer complaints and queries
- Manage sales administration requirements i.e. prepare and submit weekly and monthly reports
- Negotiate displays and pricing
- Ensure the implementation of the Sales Drivers
- Implement promotions and Point of sale/merchandising in-store
- Adhere to contracted call cycle
