Learn about the intricacies of the ancient tradition of wreaths and participate in a hands-on demonstration in the
art of making a wreath. This workshop will be presented by ‘Flower Girl’, a duo of women, Elmarie van der Berg and
Yvonne Anthony, who are trained in the symbolic practices of wreaths.

Guests will learn about the history and symbolism of wreaths, and be introduced to the plants and materials that are used to make these festive decorations. This is also an opportunity to ‘reset’ before year-end, with a hands-on demonstration of the two methods of wreath making (weaving and bunching).

At the end of the workshop, guests will have something beautiful to take home with them! In keeping with festive tradition, guests will also be treated to an indulgent harvest table prepared by Chef Mynhardt Joubert, along with some of Cathedral Cellar’s award-winning wines.
