KWV PROUD OF EXCEPTIONAL PERFORMANCE AT DECANTER WORLD WINE AWARDS 2021
Celebration fires are burning high at KWV following another incredible performance in a global wine competition, this time at the Decanter World Wine Awards 2021 (DWWA). KWV is exceptionally proud that its wines secured multiple medals from Decanter, a competition regarded as the “largest and most influential” of its kind. Notably, KWV is honoured to announce that two of its wines secured a Decanter Platinum medal, reserved for wines that scored 97 or more out of a possible 100. In total, KWV secured no less than 15 medals in the 90+ score range.

KWV extends a hearty congratulations to its Chief Viticulturist, Marco Ventrella. In his
renowned South African Special Report 2021, UK Master of Wine (MW) Tim Atkin, awarded
Marco as “Viticulturist of the Year”.
KWV TAKES CHAMPION RED BLEND AT PRESTIGIOUS SA NATIONAL YOUNG WINE SHOW
The Champion Red Blend of 2021 belongs to KWV. This notable achievement was
announced at the 2021 SA National Young Wine Show, presented by Agri-Expo, where this
Paarl-based producer was awarded the prestigious Vine Products Trophy for SA Champion
Red Blend for its KWV Shiraz/Cabernet Sauvignon/Petite Sirah/Petit Verdot/Cabernet Franc
(wooded). In addition to this phenomenal accomplishment, KWV also celebrates being
named Category Winner for Other Red for its Petite Sirah.
