Documentation Assistant ref: DA0813
Location: Paarl
Purpose: The successful candidate will provide administrative and document control support to ensure that import and export documentation is accurately prepared, processed, maintained and readily available to support the smooth movement of goods.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 / Matric.
- Previous administrative or document control experience will be advantageous.
- 1 years experience within Import & Export, Logistics, Supply Chain or FMCG will be advantageous.
- Computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Excel and Outlook.

Job Summary:
- Assist with the preparation, capturing and processing of import and export documentation.
- Ensure that all relevant documentation is complete, accurate and submitted within required timelines.
- Capture and maintain information relating to import and export shipments on relevant systems and spreadsheets.
- Assist with the filing and electronic archiving of shipping and trade-related documentation.
- Check documents for accuracy and identify missing or incorrect information.
- Assist with maintaining document registers and tracking outstanding documentation.
- Liaise with internal departments, freight forwarders, transporters, suppliers and other relevant parties regarding documentation requirements.
- Assist with obtaining and following up on outstanding documents.
- Provide general administrative support to the Import & Export team.
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure that documents are handled in accordance with company procedures.
- Perform any other reasonable administrative duties required by the Import & Export team.
