Junior Social Media Manager ref: JSMM0803

Location: Paarl

Purpose: The incumbent will support and strengthen the digital presence of KWV’s main market spirits brands by executing engaging and on-trend social media strategies. The Junior Social Media Manager will be instrumental in managing daily content, engaging audiences, and supporting campaigns across brands such as Hooch, Ponchos, Cruxland, Fruit Lagoon, Jackson Brown and Imagin.

Minimum requirements:

  • Diploma or degree in Marketing, Digital Communication, Media, or related field
  • 2–3 years in a social media, content, or digital marketing role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite

Skills required:

  • Experience using tools such as Meta Business Suite, Agorapulse, or Hootsuite
  • Proven ability to manage brand accounts and grow engaged communities
  • Deep understanding of youth/main market audiences and local trends
  • Prior experience with lifestyle or FMCG brands is advantageous

Job summary:

  • Plan and execute daily content across multiple social media platforms
  • Support content strategy and collaborate with the Digital Brand Manager
  • Manage community interactions and respond to queries in a timely, professional manner
  • Monitor and escalate sensitive issues when needed
  • Track and report on content performance to support audits and reviews
  • Upload and manage creative assets in the Digital Asset Management system
