Location: Paarl
Purpose: To ensure that all stock movements within Supply Chain are done accurately, on time and in full. The incumbent is responsible for operating a forklift in order to move, locate, relocate, stack and pick materials for production requirements. The incumbent needs to ensure that the forklift is operated in a safe manner at all times and in line with Company policy and procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Minimum 1-2 years related Warehouse experience
- Valid forklift License
- FMCG Warehouse Knowledge would be advantageous
Job Summary:
- Accurately pick and issue stock according to approved documentation, ensuring correct quantities and quality standards.
- Apply FIFO/FEFO stock rotation principles at all times.
- Receive, put away, rack, and stack stock neatly and safely in designated storage areas.
- Operate forklifts safely and in accordance with company policies, procedures, and training requirements.
- Complete daily forklift inspections, maintain equipment cleanliness, and promptly report defects.
- Ensure a clean, organised, and safe working environment through a “clean-as-you-go” approach.
- Adhere to productivity targets, deadlines, and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Conduct inventory counts as scheduled and support accurate stock control practices.
- Identify and report slow-moving stock and other inventory concerns.
- Ensure compliance with PPE, safety, quality, and audit requirements.
- Report incidents, non-conformances, and risks immediately.
- Build effective working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders while supporting customer service excellence.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support departmental and transformation objectives.
- Uphold company values, ethics, and operational standards at all times.
