Supply Planner ref: SP0721

Location: Paarl

Purpose: Plan all loads in the most cost effective manner from Paarl to key customers in conjunction with the weekly depot planning. The incumbent needs to ensure that the in stock percentage target is reached by depot. Replenishment planning determined by forecast is in place taking in account peak periods, gifting, promotions and holiday periods. The incumbent the process to minimise lost sales due to out of stock according to target and report accordingly.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12 with a relevant tertiary qualification
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ planning experience in a FMCG environment.
  • 3 years’ proven people management experience
  • Must be computer literate (MS Excel)
  • SAP Knowledge

Job Summary:

  • Monitor and manage stock availability to meet business and customer service targets through effective planning.
  • Coordinate the allocation, phasing and control of gifting stock.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of market demand to ensure the right stock is available in the right regions at the right time.
  • Prepare and distribute accurate monthly operational and sales reports to key stakeholders, enabling informed business decision-making.
  • Process monthly stock regrades accurately and timeously.
  • Manage primary distribution and bulk transport costs through effective planning and cost control.
  • Analyse forecasts to optimise primary distribution, minimise waste and improve transport efficiency.
  • Maximise truck utilisation to improve distribution efficiency.
  • Minimise lost sales by proactively reallocating or transferring stock between depots where required.
  • Monitor and manage ageing, discontinued and obsolete stock, providing regular reports to the Sales team to reduce write-offs.
  • Oversee stock age management and regrade activities to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Manage and process customer credits in accordance with company procedures.
