This morning between 06:30 and 07:00 a fire broke out in the KWV production facility in Paarl. Authorities and support services acted swiftly and the fire was brought under control. A KWV employee, a service provider and municipal firefighter have been admitted to hospital for smoke inhalation and are in a stable condition. Four KWV employees were treated on site for minor smoke inhalation.

KWV Brandy made history when it claimed no less than four Double Gold medals in the esteemed International Spirits Challenge (ISC) 2019, in an announcement made last night.
London, July 11th – For an incredible fourth year running, KWV has been awarded the Producer of the Year Trophy in the Brandy and Cognac category at the International Spirit Challenge (ISC). This major announcement was made in addition to KWV receiving the Trophy for the Best Brandy in the World for its KWV 20 at the same competition. KWV’s Master Distiller, Pieter de Bod, was at the prestigious awards ceremony at Plaisterers’ Hall in London, where he received these awards in the presence of the world’s leading drinks producers.
