Location: Paarl
Purpose: To ensure that all stock movements within Supply Chain are done accurately, on time and in full. The incumbent is responsible for operating a forklift in order to move, locate, relocate, stack and pick materials for production, picking and loading requirements. The incumbent needs to ensure that the forklift is operated in a safe manner at all times and in line with Company policy and procedures
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Minimum 1-2 years related experience in logistics
- Working knowledge of MS Office (SAP Knowledge an added advantage)
- Valid Forklift license
Skills Required:
- Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact at various levels
- Assist with general work around the warehouse and office when required
- Assist Stock Controller with stock taking
- Abide by safety rules and regulations
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure
- Customer and goal orientated
- Problem solving and initiative skills
Job Summary:
- Accurate picking and loading of products to plan and instructions
- Manage Forklift machine as per company policy
- Meet all requirements within set timeframes
- Consistently comply with workplace standards and practices
- Consistently attain performance goals as set out and agreed upon quarterly
- Implement good housekeeping and safety practices
- Suggest improvements and implement new ideas to improve effectiveness
- Adhoc projects
- Availability to work overtime, as required from time to time
